Donate Now to the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER)

Thank you for supporting the ABA Fund for Justice and Education on behalf of the Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources for the current 2013-2014 bar year (September 1, 2013 - August 31, 2014). Your gift will help maintain the Section’s following public service and educational programs:

Carbon Offset: The Section estimates that the average conference attendee’s participation will generate approximately one metric ton of carbon emissions. Help offset your carbon footprint by contributing $20 or more, the cost of a one-ton carbon credit from a verified offset project that will reduce greenhouse gases.  (For every $20 given, 75% will go toward programming costs and 25% will be considered a charitable donation)

One Million Trees Project:  The Section calls on ABA members to contribute to the goal of planting one million trees across the United States by 2014. This project is being carried out in partnership with a number of well recognized tree-planting organizations. The Section organizes tree-planting activities at major meetings and supports hands-on tree planting events coordinated by firms, committees, and other groups. Contributions will be used towards purchasing trees.

Travel Stipends: Funding will provide travel support to law students; young lawyers; local, state, federal, and tribal government lawyers; academics; and others who need financial assistance to attend a Section educational event.
